Jo Wells, Director, The Blagrave Trust
Jo Wells has worked in the voluntary sector for over 20 years both in international humanitarian aid overseas and in the UK. She lives in Essex and is the mother of two teenage boys. As well as working on global front line operations in natural disasters and conflict, she managed a policy team, has led research, and been involved in multi-agency global initiatives around standard setting. In humanitarian aid Jo had a particular focus on how the most vulnerable are protected and integrated into effective responses. For the past seven years, Jo has been the Director of The Blagrave Trust whose mission is to bring lasting change to the lives of young people facing disadvantage, ensure their voices are heard in matters that affect them and promote them as a powerful force for change. Jo is currently also a Trustee of the Essex Community Foundation and sits on Comic Relief’s Social Impact Committee.
